Sharks FC edged Enugu Rangers 1-0 to stay top of the Glo Premier League on Match day 13 of the Glo Premier League.

Ex-Flying Eagles forward Christian Pyagbara scored the match winning-goal for the Porth-Harcourt-based outfit.

Pyagbara has now scored four goals the coach Gbenga Ogungbote-led side, who have now recorded 23 points from a possible 39.

They face a difficult test to their title credentials this weekend, when they visit champions, Kano Pillars, in Kaduna.

At the Ranch Bees Stadium, Pillars played out a two-all draw with Kaduna United.

The hosts led by one goal at the break, courtesy of a Samuel Agba 29th minute strike. Super Eagles midfieder Rabiu Ali leveled for Pillars on the hour mark, but the visitors’ celebration was immediately cut short as Agba netted his second of the game to restore Kaduna United’s lead.

Five minute to full time, Ali also scored his second of the game to draw the champions level as the game ended two apiece.
