Dele Alampasu has told Flying Eagle’s coach Manu Garba he is committed to ensuring he reunite with his mates sooner rather than later.
The Super Eagles team B third choice goalkeeper to January’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa, has revealed he has begun jogging following a knee surgery.
The shot-stopper got injured during a training session while on trial with Belgium club Genk, requiring surgery.
He has since gone under the knife and, even visited Nigeria’s under-20 camp in Lagos on their way to Tanzania for an African Youth Championship (AYC) second qualifying round first leg tie.
The goalkeeper, who stood out for the Golden Eaglets in last year’s Fifa World Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), added he has even signed up with a gym in Lagos, where he hope to carry out some fitness exercises.
Alampasu is expected to link up with the Flying Eagles after regaining full fitness, but is not thought to be in contention for the second leg tie with the Ngorongoro Heroes.
