Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are reportedly locked in the battle to sign Lazio defensive midfielder Ogenyi Onazi.
The Nigeria international has been a target for top European clubs this season, with a winter transfer to Liverpool falling through in January.
Spurs technical director Franco Baldini is reported to be interested in using his connection in Italy to lure Onazi to White Hart Lane.
The Daily Star reports the Serie A outfit has slammed a £10m price tag on the ex-My People FC star highly favoured to be named in coach Stephen Keshi’s squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
Both leading suitors are suggested to be keen to tie up a deal for Onazi before this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
