Ugandan President mocks Pres. Jonathan for accepting international assistance

He actually made an ignorant statement (my opinion). While speaking at a campaign rally recently, Uganda’s President, Yoweri Museveni mocked President Jonathan for accepting foreign assistance to help fight Boko Haram. The former guerrila fighter said he’d rather commit suicide than ask the international community to protect his people against terrorists
“I have never called the United Nations to guard us. Me, Yoweri Museveni to say that I have failed to protect my people and I call on the UN: I would rather hang myself. We prioritized national security by developing a strong Army, otherwise our Uganda would be like DRC, South Sudan, Somalia or Nigeria where militias have disappeared with school children.
“It would be a vote of no confidence in our country and citizens if we cannot guarantee our security. What kind of persons would we be?” He said

  • I think in all ramifications he is right to mock jonathan because nigeria government is the most lazy and docile government to say the least.

  • May they visit you soon. Coward. There’s never a country that does not seek international assistance in terms of terror. Maybe uganda is one the people supportin those element

  • Yoweri uganda have never for once got a good leader except arrogant and sarcastic rulers, who rule their people by means of dictatorship, so he better shot his mouth because he knows nothing about democracy when you will have people you put in office taking site with your opposition to make things difficult for you.

  • Alot of people are in the habit of making very uninformed and sentimental comments. Do u know the percentage of the top military men, the police and the politicians, particularly from the North who have given both tacit and open endorsements to BH onslaughts??? How possible is it for a top serving army general, who’s a BH member, liasing with a retired general, sponsoring BH, actualize the stoppage of BH campaign??

  • I don’t blame him, after all he is a terrorist himself. So he can run his mouth like a latrine ! Leave Nigeria out of your campaign Mr. Failure!

  • Yes, the man may be right, because USA troops cannot perform better than nigerian troops in this scenario, the problem we are facing is that our armies are being politicized and ethnocitized in fighting Buku Haram
