APC Describes Rumor Of Postponed National Convention As ‘Bunkum’

apc-logoThe publicity sub-committee of the national convention planning committee of the All progressives Congress has dispelled rumors making the rounds that the party has postponed its national convention.

Chairman of the publicity sub-committee of the convention committee and former spokesman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, made this known in Abuja on Thursday.

He said, “It is now a well-known fact that the first convention of the All progressives Congress shall take place on Thursday June 12, 2014 and Friday, June 13, 2014, as such any rumour to the contrary was an attempt to deceive loyal party members and the general public.

“The accreditation of valid delegates shall be done on Thursday at 9am at designated centers, the convention shall be done on Friday from 2.30pm.

“This communication puts paid to the insidious rumour by devious persons representing equally devious interests that the APC convention has been postponed. There is no iota of truth in this piece of bunkum”.

In a related development, the interim National Chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande, is to inaugurate state executive council members from across states in the federation where congresses have held, on Thursday.
