Ekiti Polls: Police Beef Up Security Around Fayemi, Fayose, Bamidele

Fayemi-fayose-bamideleSecurity has been intensified around the three major contenders to the office of Ekiti State governor ahead of June 21 governorship poll.

A security source told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday that the security beef-up had become necessary in view of some violent incidents which broke out in the state.

Besides, the source said the alarm, raised by Governor Kayode Fayemi, who doubles as the candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress that his life was under threat, also necessitated the action.

NAN investigations revealed that visitors wishing to see any of the three candidates are now being restricted.
