Stephen Keshi has confirmed that CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa is nursing an injury, while Elderson Echiejile will have a scan on a suspected hamstring injury.
The Super Eagles head coach did not disclose the exact nature of Musa’s injury but it is believed the 21-year-old sustained the injury during Tuesday night’s goalless draw against Greece.
Elderson Echiejile was a first-half substitute in that match, but Keshi, 52, expects “everybody to be fine” before final departure for Brazil.
“The doctor have an appointment for an MRI scan for Elderson to know the extent of the problem. We have to wait,” says Keshi.
“Musa is nursing a little bit of injury.”
He also said Israel-based defender Juwon Oshaniwa has resumed training with the rest of the squad after suffering from a bout of malaria.
“Hopefully everybody will be fine before we leave for Brazil.”
