Two careless parents were arrested for obesity of their teenage boy, Norfolk, UK.
An unnamed 11-year-old boy whose weight is 95 kilos became the reason why both his parents were arrested and questioned on suspicion of child neglect and cruelty.
The doctors who monitor the boy’s health and the teachers at the specialist school raised an alarm when his weight reached 95kg, they alerted the police and the parents were taken to a police department for case investigation.
Mother and father assured that they had tried to keep his size under control but it did not work. Now being released on bail they claim that their child has genetic predisposition for being fat.
The boy’s dad said: “He’s always been big. He was born with shovels for hands and spades for feet. Everyone on my side of the family is big there’s nothing we can do about it. Our son’s favourite snack is steamed broccoli and he’s still big.”
His mother also keeps telling that her son’s weight is not that much of a big deal as he uses a Nintendo Wii to stay active and stick to a strict diet. The couple signed a care agreement with social workers and now they are in danger of losing custody of the boy to social services.
