American Pop singer Jennifer Lopez will no longer be performing the official World Cup song at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Brasilia, Brazil.
The singer missed Thursday’s show because of unspecified “production issues,” says Fifa officials.
Lopez was due to perform alongside rapper Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte, with whom she has recorded the song ‘We are One (Ola Ola)’.
The singer’s representative told CNN in a statement late Sunday night: “Regretfully Jennifer Lopez will not be attending this year’s World Cup opening ceremonies.”
Pitbull and Leitte will go ahead and perform, accompanied by drummer Olodum.
