Di Maria prefers Arsenal over Chelsea

Real Madrid star Angel di Maria is open to the idea of making a Premier League switch this summer, but doesn’t want to move to Manchester as he doesn’t like the city.

That’s according to Spanish publication Marca, which claims that the winger may well move away from La Liga in the coming weeks, despite the fact that he has a monumental £40million price tag on his head. Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been credited with interest in reports emanating from Spain, but it
would appear that Arsene Wenger could have the last laugh.

The Frenchman declined the chance to re-sign former Arsenal captain Francesc Fabregas and allowed Jose Mourinho to instead lure him to west London, but
could now take pole position in the hunt for Di Maria. Offers on the table

Marca claim that there are numerous European giants who covet Di Maria, though his wages and valuation are preventing many of them from lodging
official offers. Juventus are thought to want to take him to the Serie A but can only do so if they part ways with either Arturo Vidal or Paul Pogba, which is
something they want to avoid if they can.

French champions Paris-Saint Germain are also in the fray, and Laurent Blanc is keen to follow up his capture of David Luiz by engineering a transfer for Di
Maria. However the Financial Fair Play restrictions in place at the Parc des Princes could scupper any potential deal.

Then there’s the aforementioned Premier League giants, who continue to circle the Santiago Bernabeu in the hope that Carlo Ancelotti will consent to selling one of his top players. Karim Benzema and Sami Khedira also face uncertain futures, but it’s Di Maria
who is the flavour of the month.{GMS}
