Nigeria senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons, have been drawn in the same group as hosts Namibia for the 9th African Women’s Championship.
The draw for the Championship which begins on October 11 to 25 this year was held in the Namibian capital, Windhoek, onSaturday, 19.
It was conducted by Caf Deputy General Secretary, Essam Ahmed, with assistance from Dr. Geingob and Julien Garises, a pioneer of women’s football in the hosts nation.
Six-time champions Nigeria battle Namibia, Coted d’Ivoire and debutantes Zambia in Group A.
Group B has South Africa, Cameroon, Algeria and Ghana.
