A high court in Jos has reportedly vacated an order restraining the Aminu Maigari led board of the Nigeria Football Federation from running the country’s football.
Fifa banned Nigeria last week for what it described as a direct interference by third parties in settling football disputes, after the NFF Executive Committee led by Maigari were ordered to quit office.
Sports Minister Tamuno Danagogo had subsequently appointed a sole administrator for the federation following the court order.
Fifa gave Nigeria Thursday deadline to quash the regional court ruling and fully reinstate its football ExCos.
Maigari and the NFF ExCos are now expected to return to office to consequentially allow the world football governing body overturn its decision to exclude Nigeria from international football.
InformationNigeria understands that the NFF secretary general Musa Amadu has immediately communicated Fifa of these developments.
Fifa are also expected to allow the country’s team feature at the Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada.
