Agentina winger Angel Di Maria will miss Wednesday’s crucial semi-final against the Netherlands.

The Real Madrid midfielder, whose goal helped ‘La Albicseste’ advance into the last-4, was injured in the 1-0 quarter-final win over Belgium.

The Argentinian Football Federation disclosed on its official website that an assessment of the player’s injury on Sunday revealed he has a thigh strain and will not be fit to face the Dutch.

The 26-year-old could return for Sunday’s final, if Argentina advance.

Meanwhile, Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is back in training with the two-time champions and is fit for the semi-final match at the Arena de Sao Paulo.

Aguero, 26, injured his hamstring in the country’s final group-stage win over Nigeria.
