Bayern Munich has confirmed that Toni Kroos has “switched” to Real Madrid.
The Germany World Cup winner, 24, arrived Mallorca- where he has a private house- on Wednesday after revealing his agents are finalising his move to the European champions.
The La Liga giants are yet to release exact figures of the transfer; Kroos has signed a 6-year deal with the ‘Los Blancos’.
Kroos’ contract was due to expire in 2015, but Bayern failed to agree to terms with the midfielder, who originally moved to the Allianz Arena in 2006.
The Bundesliga champions were reluctant to let the midfielder leave for a fee below his release clause of £20m, but eventually announced on Thursday morning an “agreement” has been reached.
Real are looking to improve their squad and keep pace with big-spending rivals Barcelona, who recently landed Luis Suarez.

A member of the victorious Germany squad who earned a nickname: ‘Garcon’- due to his passing accuracy-, after his man-of-the-match display in the semi-final humiliation of hosts Brazil, in which he scored a quick-fire brace; Kroos also has the Champions League, Bundesliga and Club World Cup winner’s medal in his kitty.
The former Bayer Leverkusen loanee scored a total of 23 goals in 176 appearances for Bayern.
