Liverpool have reached agreement with Queens Park Rangers (QPR) for the services of Loic Remy.
The Anfield club are reportedly triggered and £8.5m pound release clause in the France international striker’s contract with the Premier League new comers.
Remy, 27, spent last season on loan at Newcastle where he scored 14 league goals.
He joined QPR in an £8m switch from Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille during the winter transfer window of the 2012/13 season but failed to help them avoid relegation.
Liverpool have also agreed to sell Fabio Borini, who featured on loan at Sunderland last season, to the ‘Black Cats’ in a £14m deal.
Remy’s arrival coincides with the prospective departure of the Spaniard to the Stadium of Light.
Remy was a member of France’s 2014 Fifa World Cup quarter-finalists.
QPR are back in the top-flight following their season-long absence.
