PDP Will Join Forces With Labour Party To Defeat APC – Fayose

Ayo FayoseGovernor-elect of Ekiti State and self-acclaimed leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South-West, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has disclosed that the party in Ogun State would join forces with the Labour Party, LP, in the state to “flush out” the Governor Ibikunle Amosun-led All Progressives Congress, APC, administration come the 2015 general elections.

Fayose stated this on Thursday at the South-West PDP rally held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

He appealed to all the aggrieved factional leaders of the party in Ogun State to find a middle ground in the interest of the peace and success of the party at the next poll.

He said as part of efforts to ease out the APC government, he had met with the immediate past governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who is the leader of Labour Party in the state, as well as reached out to a former minister and aggrieved leader of PDP, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye, to appeal to him.

“Let me confess to you, Labour Party is going to team up with Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress. I have met with Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who is now the leader of Labour Party, and also going to meet our leader in PDP, Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye as well as other stakeholders”, Mr. Fayose said.

He expressed the hope that the feat recorded by the PDP in Ekiti State, which saw the PDP defeat the ruling APC, would be repeated in Ogun State at the next poll.

He also appealed to the leaders of the party in Ogun to provide a level playing ground for all aspirants and there should be no imposition of candidates.

“I gave them 16-0 in Ekiti State. Even former Governor Segun Oni of no fixed address lost in his base. They were taken by storm. For me, my address in South-West is PDP. I am an advocate of no imposition; there should be no imposition in PDP. I will do a disservice to this party that gave me the opportunity of a second term if I come here and play games with your future. I am an advocate of no imposition. There should not be imposition in the PDP”, he maintained.

He disclosed that any office-holder, who had left the party would lose their appointment in the next one month.

“The moment you defect, you cannot continue to enjoy our benefit. This party is not going to allow that to happen”, he said.

  • By their fruit you shall know them. A person that was super imposed now claiming dislike imposition and promising not going to allow imposition.
Everybody knows that Labor party is PDP alternate party. The moment Mimiko join it after his minitarial post it was obvious that it was an organised arrangement.
Nigerians politicians (all political parties inclusive) rshould allow decent, loyal and patriotic citizens into administration of this country. The time is coming when most of them will be in hidden, fill with fear of public mob, hands of law and natural justice. All your corrupt enrichment will ve retrieved or wasted.
