QPR Wants Omeruo On Loan

Newly promoted Premier League side Queens Park Rangers (QPR) have joined the race for Nigeria international defender Kenneth Omeruo.

Omeruo, who spent half of last season on loan at Championship side Middlesborough FC, have caught the eyes of several Premier League clubs after his strong show of form at the World Cup.

“QPR want to have Omeruo on loan for the new season even though Chelsea have made it clear they will give the player a chance to fight for a place in the first team after what he showed in Brazil,” a top source close to the player is quoted as saying on AfricanFootball.com.

Hull City have also indicated interest in the youngster, who played all four of Nigeria’s matches at the World Cup.

The 20-year-old has signed a new three-year contract with the ‘Blues’, who understandably would want the player to take a shot at first team football in the coming campaign.
