Sambo in Mecca, Offers Prayers For Jonathan, Peace In Nigeria

Namadi_SamboVice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo yesterday offered special prayers for Nigeria’s peace, progress and development while performing the lesser hajj (umrah) in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

This was contained in a statement issued by Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Umar Sani.

Sani quoted the vice president as saying: “We prayed for our nation’s peace, progress and development. We pray to Almighty Allah to remove all the evil that are within us so that the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan will succeed”.

Those who performed the pilgrimage alongside VP Sambo included Nigeria’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abubakar Bunu and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha.
