Several hours later the message on Keshi’s Twitter page read as follows:
The information circulating in the media indicated that the coach, who led Nigeria to the victory at 2013 AFCON, would manage South African Bafana Bafana, but there was no official confirmation of this issue. Meanwhie Keshi said for now he plans to have a rest for around 3 months together with his family.
It would be recalled that right after the Nigeria vs France game the team’s captain Joseph Yobo also announced his quit saying he had done everything he could for the Eagles and it was time for him to leave.
