This is one of the sickest stories I’ve ever heard. A mother in Denver was arrested this week after she drunkenly abused her infant daughter to death. The mother’s name is Kelsy Newell Skinner. The victim’s name is Natalee Skinner-Hurst and she was only two-months-old.
Natalee Skinner-Hurst was brought to the ER last Saturday morning and doctors immediately declared her brain dead. The doctors also stated she had countless scars and gashes all over her body.
The infant’s mother told her boyfriend that she woke up from a night of extreme drinking and mysteriously found her daughter’s dead body, in a shocking confession. Kelsy said she felt bad about her infant’s death, but she doesn’t remember anything because she was so drunk.
As soon as Natalee was pronounced dead, police revealed her mother was the main suspect in the case of her death. Kelsy Newell Skinner and her five babies were the only people in the house when the infant was found. According to 9NEWS, she is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
According to the World Health Organization, 35% of parental child abuse offenders use alcohol or drugs during the time of the abuse.
