omisore-iyiola_78453Senator Iyiola Omisore, the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, candidate in the just concluded governorship election in Osun, says he is still consulting with all relevant parties before reacting to the outcome of the election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the All Progressives Congress, APC, flag bearer, incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola the winner after polling 394,684 votes to defeat Mr. Omisore who polled 292,747 votes to emerge second.

Mr. Omisore, on Sunday said that he had to engage in widespread consultation as a committed party man.

The PDP flag bearer, who spoke on phone through his spokesperson, Diran Odeyemi, said: “Omisore is not a tin god. He is a committed party man and 24 hours is too short to engage in widespread consultation”.

He added: “Consultation is on with our men on the field, meetings are already on and as soon as all these are concluded, we would issue a formal statement on the development”.

He, however, expressed gratitude to God for the sustained peace before, during and after the election.

He also commended the people of the state for coming out to exercise their franchise.
