Patience Jonathan Donates Relief Materials To IDPs In Borno, Gombe

First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has donated three truckload of relief materials to displaced victims of Boko Haram at different camps of displaced people in Borno and Gombe states as she passes message of hope.

Minister of State for Power, Hon Mohammed Wakil, who delivered the relief materials from the First Lady to hundreds of internally displaced people from Damboa, Gwoza, Bama among other towns in the North East, visited IDPs camps in Biu and Gombe.

The Emir of Biu, Mai Umar Aliyu while receiving the Minister at his palace, commended President Goodluck Jonathan and the Federal Government for coming to the aid of the displaced persons. He said beyond the relief materials given, the president and his minister have given their hearts at a time of need to the people of the area.

“We commend our President for his speedy response in this emergency. We commend our son, the minister of power who though out of the country made adequate provisions for the displaced. We appreciate their concerns for us in this trying period”, the Emir said.
