The Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr Suleiman Abba, on Tuesday in Abuja said that the police were committed to ensuring hitch-free general elections in 2015.
Abba said this while addressing newsmen shortly after a closed door meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal.
He said that the Nigeria Police were poised to address challenges that might impinge on the successful conduct of the elections.
“If you have challenges, you come for solutions to those challenges.
“Of course you know too well that we have the elections ahead of us and we should make sure that we are not only properly equipped but that we even have enough personnel to perform those responsibilities
“And so appropriation is done here and that’s why I am here”. (NAN)
