A High Court sitting in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, has refrained the medical panel recently set up by the state House of Assembly to probe the health status of recuperating Governor Danbaba Suntai from going ahead with the probe.
The court issued the order on the grounds that a case relating to the governor’s office is still pending before the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Mr. Suntai, who had insisted that he would not appear before the panel as it would be prejudicial, filed an ex-parte motion before the court through his counsel, Alex Izinyon (SAN).

Mr. Izinyon was represented in court by a lawyer from his firm, Elijah Nyaro.
