The African Champions Super Eagles had surprisingly lost to Congo in Calabar and pressure had started to build by Nigerians on Keshi to change something and bring in more firepower for the team.

Older Uche, Kalu Uche now features for Al Rayyan SC of Qatar and Ike Uche is banging in goals for Villarreal in Spain.

The duo have been called up to replace Uche Nwofor and El Kanemi Warriors goalkeeper David Obiazor who were in the team that lost against Red Devils of Congo.

Keshi had last week said that Ike Uche was not in his plans because, Ike wants lKeshi to beg him back after not taking him to the World Cup.

Ike Uche immediately came out the next day and denied ever asking such, saying he is ready to put on Nigeria’s colours anytime he will be called up on.

Keshi had said: “He was supposed to be part of the team that is presently in camp but he said we must beg him first to play for Nigeria because he was left out of some competitions but I can’t beg anyone to play for Nigeria, impossible. That’s why he is not here”.

Keshi and Uche had fallen out after the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, Keshi had said that the pint sized striker is indisciplined and doesn’t listen to tactical advice.

Uche was not called up to the Nigerian team that featured Shola Ameobi despite him being Nigeria’s highest scoring striker in Europe in that period.
