Europa League: IK Uche’s 20-Second Cameo Proves a Point

Nigerian striker Ikechukwu Uche came off the bench to earn a solitary point for Villarreal at German club Borussia Monchengladbach in a Europa League Group A clash on Thursday.

The goal turned out the super-sub’s only contribution following a clash with goalkeeper Yann Sommer immediately after he poked home the equaliser.

Villarreal trailed Monchengladbach by Patrick Herrmann’s first half opener, prompting Uche’s introduction just after the hour mark.
