The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced it will converge in Warri, Delta State, for an Extra-Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
According to the NFF General Secretary, Musa Amadu, Saturday’s congress is in line with an earlier directive by the world football governing body Fifa for a foremost of two such congresses to decide on the roadmap leading to a latter elections.
“At the Extra-Ordinary Congress, the General Assembly will elect persons into a fresh NFF Electoral Committee and new NFF Electoral Appeals Committee,” Musa said.
“The General Assembly will also, at the same event, decide on a date and venue for the Elective Congress, which we hope will take place before the end of the month.”
The event is billed for the Brownhills Events Centre, beginning from 11:00AM.
All chairmen and secretaries of the Football Associations of the 36 States and the FCT, as well as chairmen and secretaries of the various Leagues, Coaches Association, Referees Association and Players’ Union are expected to be in attendance.
