President Jonathan to Confer MON On MVP Oshoala

Most Valuable Player (MVP) of last month’s Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup, Asisat Oshoala, is among a list of 305 Nigerians/friends of Nigeria set to be decorated with an national honour by President Goodluck Jonathan.

Fresh from winning the adidas Golden Boot and Ball courtesy of her 7 goals and two assists at the finals in Canada, Oshoala will be awarded the Master of the Order of the Niger (MON) at a ceremony scheduled for Monday, September 29 in Abuja.

“Well, I am really happy about it and I feel appreciated because it’s a good thing for one to be appreciated by her own nation” Super-Zee (as she’s fondly called by team-mates) said.
