APC-Logo1Ahead of the October 11 governorship by-election in Adamawa state, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the Peoples Democratic Party-led Federal Government to ensure credible election in the state.

The Deputy Director of the APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Bindow Jibrilla Campaign Organization, Abdulrahman Jimeta, in a campaign rally in Fufore Local Government of the state yesterday, said “INEC must take necessary measures to ensure election materials arrived on time”.

He said that “if INEC delays for one minute, the APC will protest for one hour”.

“We are not going to tolerate excuses such as absence of register, short supply of ballot papers or lack of ink and the rest. All we want is a peaceful and credible election but if anybody tries to cheat us, we will be worse than hell”, Mr. Jimeta said.

“We have stayed long in poverty under PDP, we have stayed long under state of emergency under PDP. In fact we are undergoing untold hardship and the only thing left is death, we are ready to die protecting our votes”, Mr. Jimeta added.

He commended what he described as the commitment of Adamawa people to change and urged them not to be intimidated by anybody on Election Day. Mr. Jimeta further asked Adamawa residents to come out en masse to vote and protect their votes.

Mr. Jimeta reserved commendations for the Nigerian military and other security agencies for their efforts in combating the threats of insurgency in the state and urged them not to allow politicians to use them on Election Day.

  1. U can go to hell. Idiot, go and die with your family if you feel cheated. U are indeed nurturing the crisis you expect after the election. Bloody fool.

  2. D guy is a boko haram member. A right thinking man cannot make such an inciting comment. God wil not let u succeed, infact u wil not go unpunish. D reward 4 d wicket is death

  3. This man is supposed to be arrested and detain because I strongly believe that he is among the people that are causing trouble in this country. If allowed to walk the streets freely, then we shall suspect some foul play.

  4. This is the general attitude of APC members and it is destructive. Whatever percieved shortcoming of INEC that may oor may not happen will not favour any of the parties involved in this election. APC cannot even win a ward in Adamawa so this mans ranting is projected towards pre-empting the obvious outcome oof the election. But God pass APC oh! No Nigerian will lose their blood in this or any other election in Nigeria
