Artist etches 656-foot-long Ebola virus into field

CASTAGNARO , Italy, Oct. 8 (UPI) — An Italian artist famous for etching portraits into fields used his tractor to draw a 656-foot-long picture of the Ebola virus across a 9-acre field.Dario Gambarin, who previously made headlines for crop art creations including a portrait of U.S. President Barack Obama, took his tractor out into a Castagnaro field to sketch the virus along with the words “Ebola virus.”

The artist said his creation, which measures 656 feet long, is designed to draw attention to the current Ebola outbreak.
