Glo Premier League mid-week matches initially slated for next Wednesday has been postponed to Thursday to help give way for next week’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier between hosts Nigeria and Sudan.
The Super Eagles entertain Sudan in Abuja on Wednesday 15. The LMC has in consequence shifted all Match Day 33 fixtures by a day to allow football-loving Nigerians concentrate on their darling national football team.
An LMC statement said: “Match Day 33 has been rescheduled and will no longer hold on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 due to the Super Eagles game against Sudan on same day. The fixtures will now hold on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at same venues.”
Current leaders Kano Pillars are scheduled to host Gombe United, while Rangers are at home to Heartland among other fixtures.
Meanwhile Match Day 32 fixtures, scheduled for Sunday, remain unchanged at the moment.
