The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Nigerians to take advantage of this Eid-El-Kabir period to re-dedicate themselves to God.

The party gave this advice in a statement issued by Olisa Metuh, its National Publicity Secretary.

“Indeed, the Eid El-Kabir teaches great lessons in faith in the Almighty God, who in His infinite wisdom destined Nigeria as one united, indivisible and prosperous nation.

“We must re-dedicate ourselves to the values that unite and strengthen us as a people and resist all vices that seek to weaken and tear us apart,’’ the statement said.

Metuh said the party remained committed to the country`s unity and prosperity and urged Nigerians to follow suit.

The PDP, according to the statement will also work to maintain a free and democratic society where the powers and actions of government are according to the rule of law.
