Tinubu Health’s Condition Worsens, Flown To London For Medical Treatment – Report

Bola TinubuSome few months after he returned from a medical trip overseas, indications emerged yesterday that former Lagos State governor and national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was flown to London on Friday for yet another round of medical treatment.

According to Daily Trust, an aide of the APC chieftain confirmed that he was flown out in his private jet as his health condition deteriorated.

The newspaper gathered that Tinubu is suffering from an ailment which affects his posture and balance as well his movement, speech and writing. He is said to have been battling the ailment for almost a decade.

“He has been manifesting symptoms of Parkinson disease which include tremor, shaky limbs, hands and fingers, slow movement, impaired posture and balance and loss of automatic movements”, said a close aide.

The aide added that the Tinubu also has another undisclosed disease which is being managed at a specialist hospital in Houston, USA, noting that the ex-governor’s recent show of lack of interest in being a running mate to former Head of State and presidential hopeful, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in next year’s presidential poll, could be attributed to his failing health.

The aide said he was accompanied on the latest trip by his wife, Sen Oluremi Tinubu and former interim national chairman of the APC, Chief Bisi Akande.

When contacted on the issue, APC top shots in the state and at the national level kept mum on the health status of Tinubu, who is popularly called ‘Jagaban’.
