2015: Ex-Chairman Of Borno ANPP, Imam, Picks PDP Guber Form

PDPA former Borno State chairman of the defunct All Nigeria People Party (ANPP), Alh Muhammad Imam, on Friday picked the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to enable him contest the 2015 governorship election of the state.

Imam, who served as commissioner in various ministries under former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, recently dumped the state’s ruling All Progressives Congress to join the PDP.

The aspirant, whose campaign posters have since flooded major streets of Maiduguri, the state capital, would be the first person in Borno State to pick the governorship nomination form of the PDP.

He confirmed the development to journalists in Maiduguri via a telephone conversation.

“I have by the grace of Allah bought the PDP nomination form and that of the expression of interest to contest the governorship of our dear state, Borno, come 2015. I don’t have much to say for now until I return to Maiduguri to officially declare my intention and hold a press conference to that effect”, Imam said.
