Boko Haram: Govt Imposes 9pm-5am Curfew On Adamawa

Bala NgilariIn the aftermath of rising Boko Haram attacks in some parts of Adamawa State, the government on Saturday imposed a curfew on every part of the state.

Though there has been curfew in some parts of the State especially in Mubi, Mararaba Mubi and Uba, which were recently overrun by the insurgents, the state government was left with no other choice but to impose a blanket curfew on the state.

The government made the declaration in a press statement signed and issued by the Secretary to the State government, Hon Ibrahim Welye.

According to the statement, the curfew will now commence from 9pm to 5am daily. It also stated that those on essential services and with permit are allowed to carry out their duties.

“All citizens and security operatives are please advised to comply strictly with these directives”, it stated.
