Ibrahim Shema of Katsina StateThe Katsina State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Rabiu Gambo Bakori, has stated that Governor Ibrahim Shema is subjecting the manifesto of the party to full practice.

Speaking at the PDP secretariat shortly before the distribution of election materials for the state House of Assembly primaries on Saturday, Bakori said the governor has been dutiful in implementing programmes and policies in tune with the manifesto of the ruling PDP.

He stated that the laudable programmes and policies of the Shema administration has endeared the party to voters in the state noting that the state remained the home of the PDP.

“There is practical politics in Katsina and this is made more popular by the fact that our Governor and leader is a true party man”.

Bakori said the state leadership of the party had put in place all the necessary mechanism for hitch free primaries noting that party guidelines, constitution and the provisions of the electoral act had been adhered to.

In a speech, the leader of the Katsina State PDP state assembly primary election team, Collins Udofia, said Katsina was a pride to not only the PDP but the nation as a whole.

“It is a pride for the nation that a state like Katsina with very little has a lot to show”, Udofia said, urging people of the state to ensure development in the state continue even after the expiration of Governor Shema’s tenure in 2015.
