Just the same way they started turning to politics, it seems some of our celebrities might be made to re-think their political decisions. This new dimension is starting with comedian, Julius Agwu who has withdrawn his intentions from contesting for the governorship of Rivers State in 2015. He made his political intentions known about 3 months ago.

According to a press statement, a meeting with his Kinsmen from Ikwere was instrumental to making him change his mind. His manager, Sunday Uwen released this press statement on behalf of Julius Agwu saying:“There was a meeting between Julius Agwu and his kinsmen from Ikwere, and it was agreed that he should step down from the governorship race. Because the current Gov. Rotimi Amaechi, is his friend and they are both from the same area.

They will want the position to rotate to another part of the state and Agwu has decided to listen to his people and withdraw from contesting,” the statement said.”

  • Amaechi arramged with Julius Agwu to announce his intention to contest governorship, and to withdraw few months to the poll and hand over his supporters to APC. We knew it all, but it won’t work. Wike is the man to go. It’s wrong for Ikwerre man to succeed another Ikwerre man, but We the Ijaws in Rivers State want Chf Nyesom Wike because of his popularity and boldness.
