Nigerian President — Goodluck Jonathan finally unveils the new 100 Naira centenary note


I know a lot of you have heard about the new 100 naira note that’s about to be released by the CBN.

Well, the president himself, Goodluck Jonathan today unveiled the new N100 note at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The new note is described as “commemorative” – designed in honour of Nigeria’s 100 years of amalgamation.

Daily Post reports that the president along with Vice-president Namadi Sambo, Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, unveiled the note during a weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.

Sources say the notes will be in circulation from December 2014.

  • @insight. For your information, Zion is a Christian word and our president is a Christian. You moslems refer to Christians and Israelis as zionists and it is fine by us. Did you expect a Christian president to put your islamic crescent and star or arabic language on our currency? I understand that you are not happy with the president because he does not allow your islamic arabic language on our Naira note. Thank God islam is being detached from our new currencies.
