Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino says there is no disagreement between him and Emmanuel Adebayor after exempting the striker from a third successive Europa League away trip.
Adebayor last featured in a European game away from White Hart Lane at Sheriff Triaspol in October 2013.
Asked whether Adebayor’s omission from the Group C meeting with Asteras Tripolis on Thursday was for a specific reason, Pochettino said: “It is the same situation.”
“For every mission, for every trip, we have our organization and selections.”
Adebayor has missed all six European away matches since making the trip to Moldova- as an unused substitute- over a year ago.
Spurs thrashed Asteras Tripolis 5-1 in the first leg a fortnight ago. Pochettino’s men are seeking for a first win in Greece after three previous visits.
