Caf Confederation Cup: Wolves, Dolphins Set Off On The Road

The draw for the preliminary rounds of the 12th edition of the Orange CAF Confederation Cup was held yesterday (Monday) at the Caf headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) representatives in the Caf Confederation Cup Dolphins and Warri Wolves will commence their campaign away from home.

Federation Cup runners-up, Dolphins, and Wolves, who finished third in the Glo Premier League this season, will face Leones Vegetarianos of Equatorial Guinea and RC Bobo Dioulasso of Burkina Faso respectively.

Both Nigerian flag bearers begin their campaign with a first-leg encounter slated for the weekend of February 13, while the second leg games comes up a fortnight later.

No Nigerian club has ever won the second-tier continental competition since its maiden edition in 2004.

ASEC Mimosas, Zamalek, FC Djoliba, AS Vita, Orlando Pirates, Ahli Shendi, Club Africain and champions ES Setif are drawn bye.
