Two elderly men have been taken into custody for raping an 11-year- old girl in Katsina.
The two suspects, Haladu Abdu, 65, and Ashiru Musa, 64, allegedly had sexual act with 11-year-old Yusra Shuaibu.
According to the prosecuting police officer, Inspector Hashimu Musa, the father of the victim reported the case at Sabon Gari police station.
Musa informed the court that the suspects conspired and allured little girl to a shop situated at Sabuwar Unguwa area, where they raped her.
As a result of the forceful sexual act, the young girl suffered various degrees of injury in her private parts.
The accused will remain in prison custody till the case hearing, 24th December, 2014.
