Isa YugudaaGov. Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State has condemned Monday’s bomb blast at the Bauchi Central Market that claimed seven lives and injured many.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ishola Adeyemi, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Bauchi.

According to the statement, the governor described the incident as “most unfortunate and barbaric” aimed at disrupting the absolute peace the state was enjoying.

Yuguda said the perpetrators of the act were “cowards who are always happy in spilling innocent blood without any justification”.

He reassured that his administration would not relent in its efforts to ensure that lives and property of law abiding citizens were protected.

The statement quoted the governor as saying that the state government had always collaborated with security agents to maintain peace and peaceful coexistence among the diverse people of the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that seven people died and 25 others were injured during the blast. (NAN)
