While several Nigerians have predicted that violence would follow the February general elections if care was not taken, Aka Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio has seen so ething entirely different.

The governor, who spoke during the 2015 Akwa Ibom Solemn Assembly and Thanksgiving Interdenominational service at the Ibom Hall in Uyo, said the elections will make Nigeria even more united.

“The best solution to peace and coexistence in the country is the re-election of Dr Goodluck Jonathan as the President in the coming election,” he said.

“It is not the southerners that would re-elect Jonathan but the whole country; that is why we have a northerner and a Muslim as the Vice President in the person of Arch. Namadi Sambo.

“This shows that it has nothing to do with ethnic or religious affiliations but the will of God,” Akpabio said.
