Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is likely an injury concern for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Champions Manchester City with a hamstring problem.
The Spaniard hobbled off early into the second half of his side’s League Cup semi-final win over Liverpool.
“Fabregas reported a tight hamstring. He said he wasn’t yet injured but that he would be soon if he continued,” Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho confirmed.
The leaders will also have to sweat on the fitness of the defensive pair of Felipe Luis and Branislav Ivanovic- scorer of last night’s solitary goal at Stamford Bridge in extra time.
Luis was withdrawn late on with a calf problem, while Ivanovic sustained a wound to his foot.
The Blues lead second-placed City by five points at the top of the league standings.
