According to Sahara reporters, Fayose said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), must use its control of the army and the police, which it currently controls, to ensure victory for President Goodluck Jonathan at next month’s polls.

Fayose was speaking in a meeting organized by  Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko in Akure, in his capacity as the South-West co-ordinator of the Presidential campaign for President Goodluck Jonathan.

The governor opined that the presidential election was crucial, urging party members to forget about governorship elections and concentrate their energy on the presidential contest.  According to him, once President Jonathan was re-elected, the party will have a field day installing its gubernatorial candidates in various states as it likes.

Minutes of the meeting obtained by SaharaReporters indicates that some delegates. dismissed rallies as a good campaign strategy, asking the party to focus on propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayose recently pleaded with civil servants in his state to be more patient with him concerning their September salary.

  1. Honestly I am disappoint in this man called Fayose.
With this your statement you are tarnishing the image of President Goodluck Jonathan.
I believe GEJ should called this man to order in order not to loose the Southwest vote.
His do or die style may be can work in Ekiti, but definitely, it cannot work in other parts.
