Few days after unknown gunmen killed 10 residents of Tattaura village in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, another 15 persons have been reportedly killed at Ambe-Madaki village in the same council by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
According to a PUNCH report, the attack occurred at 4A.M on Friday.
A resident of the area, Mr Yohana Adamu, who spoke with the newspaper in a telephone interview, said that the invaders, who were armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed the village in the early hours of today and started shooting at anyone and everything in sight and setting houses ablaze in the process.
Mr. Adamu said scores of residents of the area sustained varying degrees of injuries from gun shots while over 20 houses in the area were set ablaze.
He said, “We are surprised that despite the agreement that our communities had with the Fulanis not to attack each other, they have been attacking us.”
“We have not compiled the casualty figure yet because some people are still missing, but we have 15 corpses already”.
The Kaduna State Police Command is yet to react to the latest killing spree, but a security source in Sanga, who is not authorised to speak to journalists, confirmed the latest attack.
