It Won’t Come As A Surprise If Boko Haram Endorses Buhari – Fani-Kayode

The Director, Media and Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has called for probe into the relationship between the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and violent groups.

The former aviation minister made the call in a statement in Abuja on January 9, 2015, Friday, following Buhari’s alleged endorsement by the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND).

FFK said Buhari’s endorsement by MEND, a discredited militia group, should give Nigerians and the international community great concern, Punch reports.

According to Fani-Kayode, Buhari’s comments over insurgency in Nigeria were worrisome.

He added that it won’t be surprising if Boko Haram equally endorses him.

It is important for Nigerians to take another look at Buhari’s comments about Boko Haram and the way he has encouraged Boko Haram group.

“It is on public record that Buhari had announced to the whole world that it was unfair and unjust for the Boko Haram to be tackled (after it) had killed over 20,000 innocent Nigerians, mostly women and children, after burning their homes and destroying their communities,” he said.

Fani-Kayode therefore called on Nigerians and the international community to investigate the relationship between Buhari and MEND as well as the deadly Boko Haram sect.

Femi Fani Kayode was formerly a member of the APC but later defected to the PDP. Since his defection, he has repeatedly attacked the main opposition force of Nigeria and the APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari. He said Buhari’s election would do more harm than good to the already troubled country.

    • Fani Kayode should be ashamed of his utterances about Gen Muhamd Buhari being in support of boko haram when everybody is aware that d fanatical group is anti-education, anti-democracy, anti-christian, anti- Muslim seeks to rule the north.Buhari’s personal driver for many years is a christian, many of his friends are muslims. He is in no way a fanatic.Any respect I ever had for Fani K is dramatically vanished

  1. Folasayo, I don’t know where you residereside, but as a northerner & resident in the north; I can categorically tell you that Buhari is not to be trusted. His campaigns in Jos and environs was spearheaded by hooligans brandishing cutlasses and matchets. Is this the kind of man you call not a fantastic?
His personal driver could be a Christian, but wait a minute…did you say driver? I thought you would say friend and advisor or close confidant. Is a driver regarded as anything in Nigeria?
When did Buhari start condemning the activities of boko haram? Only recently I guess. When has he ever paid a courtesy visit to the Christian minorities in the north to sympathise with them over their plight and fate?
Only recently, he visited the Redeemed Christian Church of God and did not take off his cap- it this not a sign of disrecpect to his host? He wants their votes obviously but cannot even show respect for their faith and values. If he did not respect their beliefs and values when seeking their votes, will he respect same when he gets there?
    Abeg shine your eyes.
