Premier League club Leicester City have completed the signing of Mark Schwarzer from Chelsea FC on a free transfer.
The Australian goalkeeper, 42, has agreed on an 18-month contract with the ‘Foxes’ and could go straight into Nigel Pearson’s squad for Saturday’s home game against Aston Villa, with the club’s first choice Kasper Schmeichel absent with a foot injury.

Schwarzer, who also arrived at Stamford Bridge as a free agent in 2013, made a total of 12 appearances for Chelsea in the 2013-14 season, including his Champions League debut in a group stage win over Steaua București.
He had not played for Chelsea this season prior to his departure.
