Swansea City have completed the signing of midfielder Matt Grimes from Exeter for an undisclosed fee.
The highly-rated England Under-20 international has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League club but will not be eligible for the League Cup third-round clash with Tranmere on Saturday at Prenton Park.
The 19-year-old, who impressed during a pre-season friendly at St James Park in July, has scored four goals in 25 appearances for the Grecians this season- three of those from free-kicks.

He is expected to serve as backup for Garry Monk’s side, already without Jonjo Shelvey- who faces a four-match suspension- while Ki Sung-Yueng and striker Wilfried Bony will be on international duty after the New Year’s Day draw at Queens Park Rangers.
Grimes becomes the second player to arrive at the Liberty Stadium after Portuguese international Nelson Oliveira, who has joined on loan from Benfica.
