Buhari’s Chatham House Appearance, A Well-Produced Orchestra, Says PDP • Hails Jonathan Over Baga, Mubi Visits

Olisa-MetuhThe Peoples Democratic Party said it has noted the theatrical appearance of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, in what it called a “well-produced orchestra” earlier (Thursday) at the Chatham House, London.

The ruling party said the event was “a script well written, a script well-acted, all a truthful lie; the messenger belies the message”.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, the PDP said the stage was targeted to secure a desperately needed endorsement from the international community.

“But the world is hardly fooled by theatrics of desperation. APC is chasing shadows”, Mr. Metuh said.

“That stage may have lifted the badly deflated morale of the members of APC but the vanishing performance is incapable of redeeming the forlorn fortune in the bad sale the APC flag bearer is in the March 28, 2015 presidential election.

“Bottom-line, we wish to urge General Buhari to quickly channel his message and energies home, meet Nigerians who are choking up with questions on his capacity to lead. He may realize ultimately too, that politics in this instance is local and shall be decided locally. The ultimate endorsement lies with the people of Nigeria.

“We wish to commend President Goodluck Jonathan for boosting the morale of our gallant soldiers with a visit today to Baga in Bornu State and Mubi in Adamawa State. His able leadership has resulted in the huge successes recorded by our Armed Forces in the fight against insurgency”.

  1. The sponsored protest reported by TVC news on Thursday night in London during Buhari’s address at Chantam House could as well be APC’s making in order to discredit PDP. In politics, anybody can use any trick to discredit the other and get sympathy from electorates. PDP can not sponsor a protest against Buhari in London while they know that he is not going to win Nigerian Presidential election with the votes of those in England. Again, it is not only in England that Nigerians are living. Many more are living in other parts of Europe, America and the whole world.
